Currently, I am a Senior Developer Relations Engineer at Google Cloud and a champion for the DORA Research. It is an honor to contribute to that research and to serve as a co-leader for the DORA Community of Practice.
My tech journey actually began at the age of eight when my Uncle Charlie gifted me a TRS-80, where I spent countless hours happily coding in BASIC. While I'm still passionate about all things technology, I'm a big believer in balance. When I'm away from the screen, you can find me enjoying time with my family, reading, golfing, singing karaoke, or giving belly rubs to our furbaby, Josie.
My professional path hasn't been linear, which is exactly why I value it. Starting in the fast-paced hospitality industry, I learned that communication, empathy, and performing under pressure are the keys to success. Today, I bring those same core principles to technical leadership and enterprise software delivery, collaborating with diverse teams across cloud platforms, e-commerce, engineering culture, observability, CMS, and developer productivity.
The AI era has certainly turned into quite an adventure. Although it took a moment to adjust, I am increasingly finding myself filled with the same sense of joy I felt back when I first began my journey with the TRS-80.
